Student Mentoring creates one-to-one relationships between caring Christian adults and at-risk children in local schools. Most of the students we mentor come from difficult backgrounds that include poverty, single-parent homes, parents in prison and a history of abuse and neglect. Mentoring takes just one hour a week to pour into a child's life and has shown to make an enormous difference in the lives of children in our community. Of the students who received a mentor in the 2007/2008 school year, 99.3 percent of them advanced onto the next grade or graduated.
