Because The Village desires its members to fearlessly embrace Truth and to grow deeper in their knowledge and love of God, Bible studies are offered throughout the year.
Men's Bible Study will begin meeting at the Highland Village Worship Center on Sept. 22, 2010 from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. each Wednesday through Dec. 8, 2010. Men will not meet the week of Thanksgiving. Registration will not be required.
This semester, Men's Bible Study will be looking at the parables within their historical and Biblical context. From September to December, we will learn to understand, embrace and apply the teachings of Christ to our lives.

In Genesis, the book of beginnings, we see the seeds of the redemptive story planted. We will learn about God's hand in creation, the fall, the flood and the dispersal of Noah's descendants. We'll discover the themes that Genesis introduces and how they weave throughout the rest of redemptive history.

We follow a study method and tools outlined in the Saturday seminar "How to Study the Bible 101" to read through various books of the Bible. Your personal study will consist of reading, journaling and praying through about eight chapters a week, then coming together for corporate application-focused discussion and prayer.
